The Idea

The idea starts with a vision and a mission.

The Vision

Our vision is to build a cooperative community of diverse individuals who share human resources and ecological responsibilities to create a life of greater connection and sustainability. We strive to cultivate a harmonious environment where people can live affordably, work collaboratively, and form deeper bonds with each other and the land. By prioritizing the well-being of individuals, the environment, and the community as a whole, we envision a future where meaningful relationships thrive and the principles of sustainability guide our collective journey.

The Mission

Our mission is to live a more connected and authentic life by creating an affordable, sustainable community where lower living costs, shared resources, and cooperative efforts enable members to spend more time together and less time working for external employers. Through affordable housing, reduced utility bills, and a resource-sharing economy, we support one another in deepening connections with each other and the earth. By cultivating a community garden, surrounding our neighborhood with open space, and offering nature-based educational programming for youth and the broader community, we foster both personal well-being and environmental stewardship.

The Goals

Our goals are determined by the phase we are in. Our project has 4 distinct phases at this point. You can learn more about our goals in each phase here:

Non Negotiable

We aim to be a welcoming, secular community with no tolerance for discrimination, including micro aggressions, against minority community members.
